Windham School to Ireland in 2024!

Global Football is excited to announce Windham High School as the third team committed to the 2024 Global Ireland Football Tournament. The Windham Jaguars Football team will be traveling from Windham, New Hampshire this upcoming August to compete against a skillfully paired American opponent.

During their trip to the Emerald Isle, the team will learn about the traditions and rich history that Ireland provides through museums, tours and the chance to experience Gaelic sports first hand. Throughout the week they will hold football practices leading up to a Dublin City Center pep rally spotlighting each team. Not only does this trip encourage sportsmanship among teammates, it grows various leadership qualities as well. At the end of the trip, there will be a spectacular awards ceremony honoring each of the teams plus one exemplary young man receiving the Brian Mullins Award from each team.

“Windham High School is thrilled to be the first school from New Hampshire to take part in the G.I.F.T. program. We look forward for our players to have the opportunity of international travel and experiences and to be part of the week of American Football in Ireland!” said Athletic Director, Jon Hall.

“It is exciting to welcome Windham School to our GIFT event next year, the initial New England school football team to be represented in Ireland as part of this global showcase. The Windham students and supporters are in for a special educational sports experience in the Emerald Isle,” notes Global Football founder and president, Patrick Steenberge.
