The second round of International Bowl games at the Pop Warner Super Bowl at Disney’s Wild World of Sports saw eight teams in action from Canada, Mexico and the United Arab Emirates.
Team Canada remained unbeaten in the Midget Division with a 36-12 win earning them a 2-0 record so far at the event. The game was notable for the Emirates American Football League (EAFL) Falcons scoring the first points of their Pop Warner adventure.
In a meeting of two teams that had secured convincing wins on Monday and shut out their opponents in the process, Toluca edged Puebla 12-6 in overtime.
Mexico City moved to 1-1 having blanked Queretaro 7-0, although the losing side had an interception return for a touchdown called back for an infringement in a close encounter.
In the Junior Midget division, Mexico City narrowly beat compatriots Puebla 19-18.
The final day of international action on Saturday sees Puebla (1-1) take on the EAFL Falcons (0-2), Mexico City (1-1) face Canada (2-0), and Queretaro (0-2) meet Toluca (2-0), with games played at 9am and 11am on fields 26 and 28.
