2016

University of San Diego vs UDLAP

Global Ambassadors Bowl: A Team Stars & Stripes select roster of high school seniors traveled to the Czech Republic and Germany from April 2-10 and faced the GHS Hawks in Hanau.

Ohio Northern University: The Polar Bears traveled to Greece and Italy from May 9-17 and played against the Roma Grizzlies and enjoyed the wonderful hospitality they have always shown our visiting teams.

Siena Heights: The Saints’ women’s soccer team again traveled with Global Football, this time to Spain, having previously visited Italy. From May 9-17 they experienced the soccer hotbeds of Madrid and Barcelona and faced local opposition on the soccer pitch.

Wabash College: From May 16-24, Erik Raeburn took his roster to Spain, where local opposition from Barcelona lined up on the gridiron against the Little Giants.

Johns Hopkins University: Always a popular destination for Global Football travelers, Italy hosted the Blue Jays from May 16-24 with the Lazio Marines again providing the opposition.

Elmhurst College: One of Global Football’s most regular travelers traveled to Austria and Switzerland from May 30-June 7 and while in the Tirol, faced the might of the Swarco Raiders in Innsbruck.

North Central College: From June 13-21 the Cardinals enjoyed the culture of Ireland and Scotland and faced Scotland’s most successful club team the East Kilbride Pirates in Glasgow.

2015

11218560_857782977590085_6263147810107406365_oThe month of May was busy time with Hanover College from Indiana heading to Ireland and then to Scotland, where they played the nation’s top club team the East Kilbride Pirates, Central College traveled from Iowa to Greece and Italy, and as we edged into June, Luther College traveled to Denmark and Norway.

 

530436_408568292500270_421807007_nOur Team Stars & Stripes high school select team enjoyed a wonderful time in Italy in April, where they took on the Lazio Marines in the eighth annual Global Bowl Italy, while discovering the sights of Rome, Florence and Tuscany.

And to aid development of the game around the world, a unique equipment initiative enlisted the help of the Air National Guard, U.S. Embassy in Belgrade, and Serbian Ministry of Youth and Sport to airlift 34 helmets, 160 sets of shoulder pads, 91 pairs of game pants, 100 pairs of thigh pads, 20 pairs of knee pads, 30 jaw pads, 16 neck Rolls, 12 jerseys, 3 footballs, one hand shield and a clip board to Serbia.

0398b63d71824bef807bf7099dd84251-1Youth players from Canada, Mexico and the United Arab Emirates enjoyed a wonderful week at Disney and ESPN’s Wide World of Sports in the International Bowl at the Pop Warner Super Bowl.

“This was one of the most exciting tournaments we have held at the Pop Warner Super Bowl and the standard of international competition intensifies every year,” said Global Football President Patrick Steenberge. “Canada are worthy champions, and all the other teams provided us with plenty of memorable moments as well.”

 

Tazon15GD04The Tazón de Estrellas En Baja featured a group of graduating NCAA Division III seniors lining up as Team Stars & Stripes against the home team CONADEIP All-Stars in Mexico.  The Americans won 15-14 on a thrilling two-point conversion as time expired to take a 4-3 lead in the seven-year series.

Young children from the Santa Teresita del Nino Jesus orphanage visited with the team in the CETYS University gym after the day’s second practice and as photos that captured the event show, everyone had a wonderful time in the local community.

Global Football teamed up with NCAA Division III college partners to give American football coaches around the world an opportunity to travel to the United States and enhance their coaching skills on the gridiron in the Global Football ICE Program.

2014

Global Ireland Football Tournament (GIFT) 2014

IMG_0360In August, Penn Manor and Cedar Cliff high schools from Pennsylvania traveled to Ireland to open their 2014 football season beneath Dublin Friday Night Lights at the University College Dublin in the Global Ireland Football Tournament (GIFT). Two former NFL stars – GIFT honorary chairman and former Patriots, Jaguars and Jets tight end Kyle Brady and special guest Pro Football Hall of Fame running back Eric Dickerson – watched as Penn Manor won 27-20 in front of an appreciative crowd.

The Croke Park Classic, for which Global Football President Patrick Steenberge was the catalyst having introduced Penn State University and the Gaelic Athletic Association, saw Penn State defeat the University of Central Florida with a last-minute field goal in front of 53,304 spectators in September. Steenberge was recognized for his role at a dinner hosted by Price Waterhouse Cooper that included Kyle Brady as a speaker alongside representatives of the GAA and the two American universities.

 


MontageFrom Global Football to the NFL

German linebacker Kasim Edebali completed his rise from Kimball Union Academy in New Hampshire to the NFL by signing with New Orleans of the NFL as a free agent, establishing himself as a key component of the Saints defense and special teams. Like fellow German Bjoern Werner of the Indianapolis Colts, Edebali was a member of the Global Football-devised and operated International Student Program that afforded promising international football players the opportunity to study and play the sport in the United States.

 

 

Tazón de Estrellas

Tazon14Game05Under head coach Don DeWaard of Central College, 40 seniors selected from 17 NCAA Division III colleges participated in the Tazón de Estrellas, the 17th annual post-season game organized in Mexico by Global Football exclusively for Division III players. The Team Stars & Stripes squad undertook a service project coordinated by Tec de Monterrey Puebla and in front of 3,500 home fans at El Templo del Dolor in Puebla, lost 31-17 to Mexico’s CONADEIP All-Stars, leveling the series at 3-3.

Annual spring tours

Eight teams from colleges and high schools in the United States traveled across the Atlantic Ocean to Europe as Global Football continued to lead the way in exporting the gridiron game internationally for a 19th consecutive year. Club and national teams welcomed their American visitors for a memorable mix of cultural exchanges, sightseeing and ultimately an opportunity to meet competitively on the field in some of Europe’s most picturesque settings.

Global Bowl – Spain

The Team Stars & Stripes high school select team traveled to Barcelona, Spain, and beat a Cataluña representative team 47-6 in front of 1,100 fans. The annual Global Bowl has been played in Japan (2008 and 2009), France / Belgium (2010), Germany (2011), Italy (2012 and 2013) and Spain (2014), with Team Stars & Stripes boasting a 5-2 record.

Siena Heights Football – Italy

20140512_144252Led by head coach Jim Lyall, Siena Heights University beat the Italian National Team coached by former NFL coach John Mackovic 35-3 in Viterbo as Saints quarterback Travis Zajkowski threw for 260 yards and 3 touchdowns.

The visiting group from enjoyed some of Italy’s most famous sites including ancient Roman landmarks, the Coliseum and Forum during a guided tour, a day-trip to Florence, and an excursion to Assisi, a small town of narrow streets and medieval walls, and the birthplace of St. Francis, the founder of the Franciscan order. As the group journeyed to Rome, they saw the ancient Etruscan stronghold of Orvieto, situated on a volcanic plateau surrounded by steep cliffs, enjoyed a visit to Viterbo and took a guided tour of the Vatican Museum and St. Peter’s Basilica.

Southwestern University – Stuttgart, Germany

The Pirates student athletes from the Georgetown, TX school visited Heidelberg, Rothenburg, Munich and Stuttgart, from for 12 days of experiencing a new culture and making lasting friendships. Head coach Joe Austin led his team to a 48-7 win over the Stuttgart Scorpions.

John Carroll University – Athens, Greece & Rome, Italy

The Blue Streaks enjoyed the sights of Rome and Pompeii, while also visiting Vatican City and spending time on the beach in Pesaro. After beating the Pesaro Angels 81-7, they took an overnight ferry from Ancona to Patras in Greece, where they spent four days sightseeing, visiting the ancient ruins of Delphi, and enjoy guided tours of Athens, taking in the Acropolis and the Parthenon.

Claremont McKenna College – Prague, Czech Republic & Vienna, Austria

A16R0180The traveling CMS party began their European tour in the Czech Republic, visiting the old town and castle district of Prague before taking a river cruise. The Stags practiced at the Prague Lions facility before crossing the border into Austria to practice at the home of the Vienna Vikings. The group enjoyed a guided sightseeing tour of Vienna and visited the Schönbrunn Palace, Danube Tower and Prater Amusement Park.

Claremont-Mudd-Scripps lost 21-14 to the Austrian National Team in a hard-fought Turkish Airlines Charity Bowl at a packed Hohe Warte Stadium.


Rose-Hulman – Barcelona, Spain

The Fightin’ Engineers discovered brilliant Barcelona, a city of graceful Gothic churches, wrought-iron balconies and wide, grand avenues filled with outdoor cafés. They visited Parque Güell, a garden complex with architectural elements designed by the Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí and saw Montjuïc Hill, where the 1992 Summer Olympic Games took place. The group also enjoyed Tapas dinner and a Flamenco show, an excursion to Montserrat, with its mountain setting providing a dramatic backdrop for the 9th-century monastery whose basilica houses the Black Virgin Mary of Montserrat.

After beating a Spanish select team 72-0, they visited Tarragona and Salou to relax and enjoy the beach, before rounding off the trip with an evening cruise along the Costa Dorada coast in a private catamaran.

Pop Warner Super Bowl

A record number of teams traveled through Global Football to participate in the International Bowl games at the Pop Warner Super Bowl at the ESPN Wide World of Sports in Florida. For the first time, a team representing the United Arab Emirates competed alongside teams from Canada and Mexico in the Midget and Junior Midget divisions.

Ritsumeikan Uji High School Visit To San Diego

906da49a069973a7baf63438a25f3ec8San Diego welcomed a group of Japanese student athletes from Ritsumeikan Uji High School in Kyoto to Southern California for a seventh time as part of a unique visit through Global Football. The Japanese visitors improved their English language skills and increased their knowledge of American football under legendary former Torrey Pines High School head coach Ed Burke, while enjoying an educational and cultural experience. The visit included a chance to watch the San Diego Chargers and USC Trojans in action.

Web Summit Ireland

2014 Web Summit - Day 2 - Sport StageGlobal Football President Patrick Steenberge spoke at the Sport Summit at the prestigious Web Summit event ‘Where the Tech World Meets’ in Dublin, Ireland, among an illustrious list of more than 500 guest speakers in Dublin. Steenberge joined Gaelic Players Association President Donal Og Cusack for a session to discuss Amateur Ethos in a professional game. Clubs and individuals also presenting at the Sport Summit included the Boston Red Sox, Manchester United, ESPN, The Financial Times, the Gaelic Athletic Association, Ryder Cup captain Paul McGinley, Rio Ferdinand and skateboarding legend Tony Haw

New Sports For Global Football

Devotees of rugby, soccer and lacrosse were welcomed into the Global Football family in 2014.  The Fenwick Friars from Chicago (rugby) toured Ireland and received expert coaching to aid their game development attending clinics and playing games against topsides St Michaels College, Galwegians and Old Crescent RFC.  The Siena Heights women’s soccer team traveled to Italy, touring Sienna and Viterbo and faced two Serie A club opponents, Lazio and Firenze.

2013

From Global Football to the NFL

Bjoern ColtsACC Defensive Player of the Year Bjoern Werner was selected in the first round of the 2013 NFL Draft (24th overall) by the Indianapolis Colts. Werner came to the United States through the International Student Program, an initiative created and operated by Global Football in 2006.

WernerHaving dominated for two years at the Salisbury School in Connecticut, the former star of his hometown Berlin Adler club team started as a true freshman, sophomore and junior at Florida State before forgoing his senior year.

“Without the International Student Program I wouldn’t be here,” said Werner. “I’m really sad they closed it, but a big goal after my career is to open something like that and get it going. Without Coach Adamson and Patrick Steenberge and Mike Preston, I wouldn’t be here. There’s so many people who gave me opportunities and I thank them all.”

Team Stars & Stripes, featuring 52 seniors from 27 Division III schools across the United States beat the CONADEIP All-Stars 29-7 to win the fifth annual Tazón de Estrellas (Bowl of the Stars) at the 36,000-capacity Estadio Tecnológico on the Tec de Monterrey campus

Five teams from colleges and high schools in the United States traveled across the Atlantic Ocean to Europe as Global Football continued to lead the way in exporting the gridiron game internationally for an 18th consecutive year. Club and national teams welcomed their American visitors for a memorable mix of cultural exchanges, sightseeing and ultimately an opportunity to meet competitively on the field in some of Europe’s most picturesque settings.

Augustana College – France

20130727_183046Augustana College defeated the French national team 20-13 in front of 7,000 eager American football fans at the Stadium Lille Métropole in Villeneuve d’Ascq. The Vikings faced a French side team comprised of the best adult players from across the country who play in the country’s strong and developing amateur league, as part of a week-long cultural visit to France.

While in France the Vikings group enjoyed a chance to visit Monet’s house and the D-Day invasion beaches in Normandy, before moving on to Bayeux, Lille and Paris. Once in the capital city, they saw the Chateau de Compiegne, the Louvre Museum, the Eiffel Tower, the Palace of Versailles and set sail on a river cruise of the Seine.

The Elmhurst College Bluejays eased to a 74-0 exhibition game win over Italian club team Legio Roma XIII to win the Roma Bowl.

As part of their European visit with Global Football, the Bluejays took in the sights of Athens before boarding a cruise to the Ancient Roman city of Pompeii and then sightseeing in Rome. The players and coached joined the Legio team for a joint practice and coaching clinic the day before they met in the exhibition game.

Illinois Wesleyan – Finland & Sweden

The Titans posted a 33-0 exhibition game win over the Finland National Team at Sonera Stadium in Helsinki, Finland.
IWU adopted the spring slogan “Suunnitelma alkaa tästä”, which translates in Finnish to “The Plan Starts Here.” After playing the game and spending four days in Helsinki, the traveling group took an overnight ferry to spend four days in Stockholm, Sweden,

Ohio Northern University – Ireland

FBIreland209ONU defeated Irish an Irish select team made up of players from University College Dublin and the Meath Bulldogs on the UCD college campus.

While in Ireland, ONU took in a Dublin city tour, visited the historic 82,000-seat Croke Park Stadium, the GAA museum and the Guinness Storehouse. They will also visited Trim Castle in nearby County Meath, with a special lunch at the Knightsbrook Hotel and traveled to the Blarney Castle, the Cliffs of Moher and the Aran Islands.

 

Wabash College – Panama

photo35The Little Giants beat a Panamanian All-Star team 56-6 at the Estadio Luis Ernesto Cascarita Tapia in front of 1200 excited spectators.

The group visited the old Spanish fortification on the Caribbean coast east of Panama City and the countryside that is lush with tropical foliage, green mountains and lakes. The traveling party enjoyed outdoor activities such as jungle canopy tours and a boat ride to Monkey Island. They visited the ruins of the first city of Panama, embarked on a canoe ride through the Chagres River in Chagres National Park and visited the Panama Canal before relaxing at an all-inclusive resort on a sandy beach fronting the Pacific Ocean.

Global Bowl – Italy

BaglianoTeam Stars & Stripes, made up of 39 student athletes from 10 different high schools across six states, fired 67 points against the Italian Under-19 National Team to win the Global Bowl Torino played at Primo Nebiolo Stadium.

Kicker Anthony Bagliano, who was born with a condition known as Holt-Oram syndrome and despite having virtually no arms and enduring multiple heart conditions, kicked a 17-yard field goal for Team Stars & Stripes and also kicked off for Italy to start the game.

While in Italy, the traveling group visited the Florence Duomo, Palazzo Vecchio, Santa Croce, Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Roman Forum, St. Peter’s Basilica and the Sistine Chapel while in Rome and Florence.

Pop Warner Super Bowl

Allteams2A record number of eight international teams from Canada, Mexico and Panama participated in the unlimited weight Midget in the International Bowl games at the Pop Warner Super Bowl at the ESPN Wide World of Sports in Florida alongside 64 teams and more than 400 dance and cheer squads from across the United States.

2012

Global Ireland Football Tournament (GIFT) 2012

John Carroll University v St Norbert College - Global Ireland Football Tournament 2012The Global Ireland Football Tournament was declared an unprecedented success as more than 13,000 spectators flocked to three venues to enjoy the spectacle of high school and college American football teams, bands, cheerleaders and dancers in action in a special Dublin Friday Night Lights event organized by Global Football.

The positive reaction of all who witnessed the 12 teams from the United States, Canada and the UK play six games split between Donnybrook Stadium and Parnell Park in Dublin and Páirc Tailteann in Navan was overwhelming.

The Global Ireland Football Tournament was about much more than six regular season American football games played on August 31, with a Parade through Dublin City Centre, a Pep Rally at Trinity College, Educational tours of various Dublin and County Meath sites, practices at University College Dublin and venues throughout the region, the GAA semi-finals at Croke Park, interaction with local sports teams, and friendships made that will last a lifetime. The GIFT travelers also attended the sell-out Emerald Isle Classic between Navy and the University of Notre Dame at the Aviva Stadium.

U.S. Ambassador to Ireland Dan Rooney, owner of the Pittsburgh Steelers of the NFL, was among the guests at Donnybrook Stadium and performed the coin toss with Patrick Steenberge and Honorary Chairman Midshipman First Class Colin Bruton (25th Co.).

Gaelic football legend and Head of Sports at UCD Brian Mullins was on hand to welcome teams as Honorary Chairman and the marching bands of Notre Dame High School and Hamilton High School entertained the crowd before the games and at half time.

Canadian ambassador to Ireland Loyola Hearn and former University of Notre Dame and Green Bay Packers offensive lineman Mike McCoy welcomed the teams from Canada and the United States.

 

Tazón de Estrellas

Tazon 11 105Team Stars & Stripes scored 15 unanswered points in the second quarter and went on to defeat the CONADEIP All-Stars from Mexico 32-15 in the fourth annual Tazón de Estrellas on Saturday afternoon at Fortaleza de Azul in Guadalajara.

The group of 48 players, along with coaches and team staff, held a community service football clinic for youngsters in Valle del Sol. Those taking part were able to try on football helmets and pads, learn to throw and catch a football and take part in basic drills, which introduced many to the sport for the first time. They also helped clear an area land to make it more suitable as a play area for the community’s children.

Adrian College recorded a 64-0 win over Italian club team Brigante Napoli as part of a Global Football-organized cultural and sporting visit to Italy.

The Student athletes enjoyed the overseas American football trip of a lifetime as they visited Venice, Florence, Naples and Rome, while also taking on the Italian Second Division team at Collana Stadium near Vomero.

 

North Central College – Spain

The Spanish national team welcomed North Central College from Illinois to the Estadi Municipal D’athletisme Joan Serrahima where an enthusiastic crowd saw them put up a brave fight in a 36-3 defeat in the Barcelona Classic.

While in Spain, the North Central coaches hosted a coaching clinic and the traveling party visited La Ramblas, Sagrada Familia Cathedral, Figueres and Girona, Lloret de Mar beaches and enjoyed a Flamenco Evening and a Costa Brava Cruise.

Wisconsin Eau-Claire – Ireland

11-DSC_0695The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Blugolds kicked off their Global Football summer visit to Ireland with a convincing 58-2 win over the University of Limerick Vikings.

Only 24 hours after arriving in Ireland, there were few signs of jet lag as the visitors scored nine touchdowns against a determined Limerick team that scored on a blocked extra point returned almost the length of the field for two points.

The Blugolds tour to Ireland included a Galway Walking Tour, visits to the Cliffs of Moher, the Burren, Bog Village, a traditional Sheep Farm, Blarney Castle, Trinity College, St Patrick’s Cathedral and tours of the Ring of Kerry and Dublin

Global Bowl – Italy

DSC04762Represented by players from 20 U.S. high schools in six states, Team Stars & Stripes traveled overseas in April and faced the Italian Under-19 national team in a Global Bowl Italy game that featured in an hour-long CBS Sports Network broadcast. As the historic Italian capital city of Rome marked its 2,765th birthday, Team Stars & Stripes celebrated with a 50-0 victory over the country’s Under 19 national team.
Viewers also followed the activities of the traveling group away from the football field, as they enjoyed the local culture, visited the picturesque spa town of Montecantini Terme, where the team practiced, Florence, set in the rolling hills of Tuscany, Rome via the Basilica of St Francis of Assisi, Ancient Rome and the Coliseum and finally The Vatican.

Pop Warner Super Bowl

Teams from Canada and Mexico joined 72 teams and more than 300 dance and cheer squads from across the United States for the International Friendship Bowl games at the annual Pop Warner Super Bowl.

2011

Global Kilimanjaro Bowl

IMG_2449.jpgOn May 21, 2011, Global Football successfully organized the first-ever game of college American football to be played on the African continent as Drake University beat an all-star team from the CONADEIP private universities of Mexico 17-7 in front of 11,781 curious but enthusiastic Tanzania spectators at the Sheik Amri Abedi Memorial Stadium in Arusha, Tanzania.

 

 

CC4I0896.jpgMore than 100 players, coaches and staff scaled the summit of the famous Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, reaching the highest point in Africa at 19,340 feet after a five-day expedition dubbed ‘Tupande Kileleni’ – ‘Lets Climb to the Summit’ – and two-day descent.

The group also volunteered three days of their time to benefit service projects in the Tanzanian city of Moshi. Orchestrated by IRIS (Iowa Resource for International Service), the 11 initiatives ranged from building construction to painting. Those taking part also had an opportunity to enjoy a day on safari at the Tarangirie National Park as a benefit of the TANAPA presenting sponsorship of the event.

Tazón de Estrellas

logo_final_tazón–estrellas logoThe CONADEIP All-Stars triumphed 45-27 over Team Stars & Stripes, drawn from 28 D-III colleges in the United States, in front of a close to capacity crowd at El Tempo del Dolor (Temple of Pain) in Puebla.

After the visiting Americans raced to a 14-0 lead early in the game, their Mexican hosts scored 38 unanswered points to take control of the game. Team Stars & Stripes gained some offensive momentum in the fourth quarter but two late touchdowns were not enough to make a dent on the final outcome.

 

Annual spring tours

Three teams from colleges and high schools in the United States traveled across the Atlantic Ocean to Europe as Global Football continued to lead the way in exporting the gridiron game internationally for an 16th consecutive year. Club and national teams welcomed their American visitors for a memorable mix of cultural exchanges, sightseeing and ultimately an opportunity to meet competitively on the field in some of Europe’s most picturesque settings.

Iowa schools Dubuque University and Central College both traveled to Italy with Global Football in 2011, while Rose Hulman went to the Czech Republic and Austria.

Global Bowl – Germany

IMG-20110416-01379Team Stars & Stripes shut out the Munich Cowboys Juniors to record a 34-0 victory in the Global Germany Bowl in Bavaria on Saturday. Led by former Arizona state championship-winning head coach Jeff Scurran, the group of 30 high school seniors from seven states led 28-0 at halftime and then added six second half points.

The game capped a week of practices and cultural sightseeing in Rothenburg, Munich and the Bavarian Region. They visited the Rothenburg ob der Tauber, a well-preserved medieval old town; Nightwatchman Tour in Rothenburg; Linderhof and Neuschwanstein Castles; and traveled to Munich via the Romantic Road.

Players were selected not only for football ability, but also as all-round student-athletes.

Fantasy Bowl II

State College-20110909-02043 copyThe football fanatics of the Notre Dame Football Fantasy Camp outlasted their counterparts and rivals from Penn State 20-6 to win Fantasy Bowl II and defend the unique title initially won in 2007.

The group of college football fanatics averaging 40-plus years in age represented Notre Dame and Penn State at Bigler East Field in State College on Friday evening. All have attended fantasy camps at the respective universities organized by Global Football and stepped onto the gridiron for a second time in a competitive semi-contact 11-on-11 flag football game.

Penn State Fantasy Camp

State College-20110609-01745They never had an opportunity to play football at Penn State, but a group of Nittany Lions diehard fans – male and female – lived out all their football dreams at the sixth annual Penn State Football Fantasy Camp.

The popular series of college football fantasy camps created by Global Football offers Nittany Lions fans a chance to play football where legends have gone before them – on the practice fields of Penn State and ultimately on the hallowed football field at Beaver Stadium. Legendary Penn State head coach Joe Paterno again met all the participants either in the locker room to provide some inspiration for the Nittany Lions devotees.

The members of the 2011 camp experienced football practices based upon the Nittany Lion traditions, directed by coaches and former star players. The football at the camp emphasizes skill development and learning the offensive and defensive schemes used by Penn State, as well as the kicking game. It is fantasy, but many real aspects of football are taught on and off the field.

The Penn State Football Fantasy Camp Ladies Xs and Os Camp that debuted last year doubled in popularity with twice as many attendees, now numbering more than 80.

Pop Warner Super Bowl

Teams from Canada and Mexico joined 72 teams and more than 300 dance and cheer squads from across the United States for the International Friendship Bowl games at the annual Pop Warner Super Bowl.

Ritsumeikan Uji High School Visit To San Diego

WelcomePartySan Diego welcomed a group of Japanese student athletes from Ritsumeikan Uji High School in Kyoto to Southern California for a fourth time as part of a unique visit through Global Football. The Japanese visitors improved their English language skills and increased their knowledge of American football under legendary former Torrey Pines High School head coach Ed Burke, while enjoying an educational and cultural experience. The visit included a chance to watch the San Diego Chargers and USC Trojans in action.
